About Us
We are a small group of passionate, highly trained web designers brought together by our founders, Brant Dutton and Teresa Soler.
It all began in 2001 with the development of a few non profit and local business websites and since has grown to not only encompass web design and development but we've also developed specialties in the areas of search engine optimization, website usability, and accessibility.
In 2007, our attention shifted to a larger focus on website usability and accessibility. We began to recognize a dangerous trend in websites to be "flashy" without really giving the user easy access to the information they were seeking. Although there are many beautiful websites on the internet, without using common sense usability techniques, and considering accessibility, many of these websites will not be used to their full potential. |

Oregon Web Weavers believes that web designs should not only use elegant arrangements of graphics and offer well organized information but should also be accessible to everyone. With this belief, we pledge to build accessibility features into every website we develop. These features will be based on the accessibility guidelines developed by the Web Accessibility Initiative. We will also provide an "Accessibility Statement" to be included on each website that outlines the features implemented and how to use them.
Furthermore, we pledge to incorporate the practical principals of usability in every website we create. We will do our very best to encourage our existing clients to update their websites to include these principals. |
